Muck diving is the term started in Mabul Island many years ago and is now one of the most popular type of dive around the world. It describe the technics of diving where divers just stay in a small area of a reef 'mucking' around searching for small critters.

It requires patience, a sharp eye, good buoyancy and knowledge of marine critters. But the reward of finding a subject is most rewarding. It applies to diving in area where the visibility is poor, rocky topography and rumbles. Unfortunately, only a handful of new divers enjoy such dives.

Almost all, I would say, underwater photographers started off with such dive as these critters are just staying still there for their pictures to be taken. I started mine the same way plus the visibility in where I dive are very poor.

All images are captured using Canon cameras over the years of my diving. I welcome divers to add images here.
