My Historical Dive
Miri, Sarawak
31st August, 2008

This Merdeka has been a meaningful one for me. When I made that jump at Kenyalang Reef on 30th August 2008, I can comfortably say that I have dive in Miri. It was the first dive for the two days activity which I organised for Merdeka celebration this year.

Out of four major city and town in Sarawak, scuba diving are possible only in Kuching, Bintulu and Miri. Since I started here in Kuching, in year 2005 and 2006, I made a few trips up to Bintulu. My recent dive in Miri completed my personal goal to dive the whole Sarawak per say.

Scuba diving has widen my view on travel, I realise within Malaysia, we have so much to offer. Different state has it's own uniqueness such as culture, food and people. By completing Miri, I am proud to say I have dive my own backyard! Hopefully by April next year, I can say... I have dive Malaysia.
