UW Photography Outing - Part I
Amazing Trip
18th August, 2008

The sea was so calm that morning, it was like a big skating ring out in the open. What makes it even better was the reef can be seen from the boat.

On that day, our main objective was to do some underwater photography as I had a student diver doing his final part of the PADI DUP Specialty Diver course. Since only three of us had cameras, Peggy and Bong were to be our spotters.

Our was first site was a natural reef where we found plenty of small critters such as the colourful gummy nudibranch and transparent shrimps as our model. There were plenty of lobster too hiding under the rocks but their long tentacles gave them away.

The second site was a totally different topography. Only minutes after descent, Lawrence pointed out a bright purplish object to me. It was nudibranch which I had not seen in Kuching before. Then Peggy waved at me for another species of nudiranch! There just plenty for us to shoot.

This is one of my most amazing local trip. I made plans for me and my buddies to return for a site survey.
