Bringing along my own diving experience, things I learnt from my instructors which was not in the book and my passion for scuba diving, I now am able to assist a person's path into the underwater world through dive education. It is indeed a gift that I appreciate very much.
I started scuba diving just like anyone of us, from Open Water Diver. Not long after my first certification, I begin to help out my Instructor with dive courses handling logistic, carrying tanks and gears, cleaning them up and so forth in exchange for a free dive while he attend to his students.
I have to thank him for where I am today as he was the one who pushed me to take up my Advanced, Rescue, Divemaster and prepared me for my Instructorship Course. Until today, we still keep in touch as good friend. Thanks Clarence!
The second year, after obtaining my PADI Divemaster rating, I started to push for something that was not popular in Kuching, I organised professionally managed dive trips which has fixed charges and went against hunting as a scuba diving activity that still is going on here. But I am happy to see the example set have been followed by other organisers today as it would benefit everyone in the industry and not myself alone.
Being a photography lover, I does underwater photography as a hobby and tries my best to introduce it to every diver I meet. Through my lens, I saw more that what meets the eye. I saw a need for conservation which I emphasis quite a lot to my student divers and friends.
Special thanks CJ, Joe, Richard and Joanne for their support.
