Muck Dive at Satang (April 2007)

Photo-Shoot-Out (PSO), our most recent activity which involve a series of dive sites. We started with Satang Island where many still not know about the marine life surrounding it. For lunch, we landed on the island and at the same time, gave me the opportunity to introduce the turtle conservation in Sarawak.

Participating in the trip were Geoffrey, Jojo, Wesley, Tobias(Germany), Mick(UK), Sharon(UK), Whei Shing and Norman. Jonas and Eric were doing dive course.

An unidentified species of fish was found by Mick and Sharon at Turtle Bay, believe to be a juvenile and  measures about 5 cm in length. Adults were seen before in this area and are normally found in crevices.

What is Photo-Shoot-Out?

PSO in short, is a diving  activity organized by me with the objectives to:

 

1. Create own awareness of our local dive sites.

 

2. Sharing of underwater photography skills and knowledge.

 

3. Identifying the marine lives through images to share with any divers around the world who wish to dive here.

 

The PSO is done in a series of dives comprising of Muck Dive (Satang), Reef Dive (Talang) and Wreck Dive (Japanese Wrecks).

 

PSO is also great for those without underwater cameras as they would be able to get reviews before purchasing their own sets.
