People and Language

For generation, people of different races have live in this city harmoniously among each other… Malay, Chinese and Dayak. Well known for our warmth hospitality, we are always willing to assist travelers or passerby in need.

 

Chinese dialect such as Hokkien and Hakka are common in the city while communicating among the other races will be in Malay. English and Chinese are the international languages that are widely acceptable here.  

 

Getting Around

Both MAS and AirAsia operates daily flights from Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Kota Kinabalu to Kuching. Once you are in the city, it is best to walk around the city as you would be able to see more though taxis and public buses are available.
